I Have A Dream

I have a dream.

I have a dream that one day I’ll be able to get on Facebook and there will be no mention of a Kardashian. That people who are victimized in relationships will stop falling in love every three months with a new “true love”.

I have a dream.

I have a dream that one day the PC Police will dive into a sea of common sense and realize that just because they have a skewed view of reality doesn’t mean the rest of the world must slide along their rainbow of naivety. That those same people who scream for those to accept their beliefs and lifestyle choices will also realize they must be accepting of peoples beliefs to not believe the same as they do.

I have a dream.

I have a dream that one day dictionaries will once again be put to use. That every social media, digital, word processing platform will come equipped with an automatic grammar corrector, adjusting punctuation so that we won’t have to be bombarded with aesthetically crushing and mind imploding sentences such as, “Your not gone be mess wit my bae.” Because…what??

I have a dream.

I have a dream that one day meme’s will actually be funny and original. That meme’s and statuses which state things “Like if you love Jesus or ignore if you love the devil” so you will click on them will disappear into the realm of the useless and the perpetrators of said meme’s and statuses will realize that Jesus doesn’t care if your status got liked but does care that when it came time to help a neighbor you turned the other cheek.

I have a dream.

I have a dream that people will one day think on their own again. That they won’t be lead blindly by misinformed people with hidden agendas, social pressures, mob mentality, or acceptance issues. I dream we will one day stand tall again, not in fear that we will be persecuted but in spite of it.

I have a dream.

I have a dream that when I walk my daughter down the aisle I can do so with a heart full of joy that the person she is marrying was raised with the same core belief that was instilled in her. That what matters most in this world is the honesty of someone’s soul. That spreading happiness, friendship, and love should ALWAYS be our first and last goal in life. That they love her with every ounce of themselves, just the way I do.

I have a dream.
